CNGA Brazed Insert Series


  • CNGA series brazed PCBN inserts are optimized designs. SCBN TOOLS brazed CBN inserts have stable processing performance and high durability, and can replace CNC inserts such as similar alloy coated inserts and carbide.


  • The head of this type of C-type PCBN integral welding insert is welded through the whole body. Now vacuum welding is used to replace the original high-frequency welding, and the integral welding replaces the original single-sided welding, which can withstand greater cutting force. Compared with the previous integral blade, the cost of cubic boron nitride is saved, and it also ensures the versatility with alloy toolholders, which can ensure accuracy and be more economical and durable. Due to the use of integral welding technology, both sides of the insert can be used, which increases the number of cutting edges, improves tool utilization, and reduces the cost of tool use for a single workpiece. Commonly used in semi-finishing and finishing processes.

  • The common specifications and models of CNGA brazed inserts are CNGA1204, and the nose radius are 02, 04, 08, 12, etc. Common chamfer sizes are S01020, S02020, S03020, arc angle and edge treatment can be customized

  • Processing application: PCBN tools are mainly used in various hardened steel, quenched and tempered steel, tool steel, die steel, bearing steel (HRC45-70); chilled cast iron, high chromium cast iron, nickel-based, cobalt-chromium-molybdenum alloy, cobalt-based High temperature alloy (HRC35-70) and difficult-to-machine gray cast iron; and various other difficult-to-machine black materials.


  • Rolls, brake discs, brake drums, brake pads, slurry pumps, industrial pumps, diesel engines, various cast irons, hardened steel, bearing steel, high chromium steel, carbide, powder metallurgy, hardened gears, ball screws, etc. Roughing and semi-finishing of high-hardness metals with hardness between (HRC45-90°); machining smoothness can reach Ra0.8, large cutting amount, strong impact resistance, good wear resistance, and long service life.
