Brazed PCBN inserts are cutting tools used in machining operations requiring high precision and durability.

Tipped PCBN inserts are a new type of superhard cutting tool made from polycrystalline cubic boron nitride and are optimally suited for high-speed cutting of ferrous metals.


Welded CBN inserts and Tipped PCBN inserts have the advantages of high hardness, good wear resistance, and strong thermal stability when processing hardened steel, which can effectively improve processing efficiency and quality.


Typical components made of hardened steel: gears, bearings, ball screw, transimmission shaft and so on.

Advantages of welded CBN Inserts 

 1. Higher CBN Content: The thicker CBN layer provides excellent wear resistance, making it suitable for long-term continuous machining of high-hardness hardened steel.

 2. Excellent Impact Resistance: The weldeding process creates a strong bond between the CBN particles and the substrate, making it suitable for interrupted cutting or rough machining.

 4. High-Temperature Stability: CBN is resistant to high temperatures and maintains its hardness even at high-speed cutting. 


Advantages of Tipped CBN Inserts

 1. Higher Hardness and Wear Resistance: Uniformly distributed CBN particles make it suitable for finishing high-hardness hardened steel, achieving surface roughnesses below Ra0.4. 

 2. Excellent Chemical Stability: The vitrified bond reduces reactivity with ferrous materials, extending tool life. 

 3. High Edge Precision: Suitable for high-precision machining (e.g., final machining of hardened steel molds and precision bearings).
